FANCY A CITY BREAK?
Barcelona is known for its beautiful architecture and famous attractions; this city is certainly not one to be missed! So much to see and do for everyone to enjoy while learning about the history and culture as you explore.
Although there is so much to see in Barcelona such as the beautiful Famous Magic Fountain or the La Sagrada Familia, there is also so much to experience around Barcelona too. One of the top trips I highly recommend is to visit Montserrat. Montserrat is a spectacularly beautiful Benedictine monk mountain retreat about one hour northwest of Barcelona by train.
Not only is Montserrat Monastery of significant religious importance but the natural beauty surrounding the monastery is simply breathtaking with some fantastic hikes. Journey to the top by a scenic cable car ride and those that enjoy hiking can walk to Sant Jeroni, the highest peak of Monsterrat.

Costa Brava
Costa Brava is one of Europe's most beautiful, unspoiled stretches of coastline. Just 2 hours from Barcelona, where you can explore rugged pink cliff tops with warm teal-colored Mediterranean waters glittering below.
Girona
On your way back from Costa Brava you can break down your journey by stopping at Girona. A city in Spain’s northeastern Catalonia region, beside the River Onyar. It’s known for its medieval architecture, walled Old Quarter (Barri Vell) and the Roman remains of the Força Vella fortress. A perfect destination for an evening dinner.
Besalu
Besalu is a Catalan medieval village in the county of Garrocha, one of the best-conserved ones in Catalonia an hour and forty-five minutes drive away from Barcelona.
Tavertet
While visiting Besalu you can combine this trip alongside Tavertet. Tavertet is a small town an hour and a half drive away from Barcelona, located above clifftops with some fantastic hikes. This is also where you can find the extraordinary Molí-Bernat waterfall.
